I’m rating the restaurant here, as I hadn’t tried their hotel. And honestly, it was the best restraint food I’ve had in Romania. IMO, it deserves a Michelin star. I wasn’t a big fan of their take on musaka, I like it saucier, but it was good, and everything else was absolutely delicious - loved their eggplant salad, lamb soup, grilled corn; even the tomato salad was absolutely amazing. Loved this place.

We did not stay in the hotel, only came for lunch on Saturday. The waiter came immediately and made a very nice introduction to the food and then brought us some complimentary appetisers which were delicious. I ordered a tomato salad and my son ordered a mutton on polenta. Both dishes were outstanding and exactly what we wanted in portion size, flavour and pricing. We would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a lovely meal with great service.

We only had lunch, so the review is only for the restaurant. The food was good and portions sizes were above average. Two out of three meals were a bit too salty or condiments were too strong (a matter of taste, I guess). The waiter and waiting time were OK. The location is central, but the busy street makes the terrace too noisy. Given the proximity to old town, the value for money is below average, unless you look for their specific cuisine.

We had an amazing meal at Nishani — you can truly feel the love and vision behind the menu. The aromas and dishes brought me back to childhood classics — sheep, obrajori, gris cu lapte — beautifully elevated and full of heart. I highly recommend the food, and it’s a definite return for us. The amaretto sour was a treat! For an experience this thoughtful, the service felt slightly below the same level of care — our reservation was mixed up ending up with a tiny table, the attitude a bit distant, and the wine pairing suggestion didn’t quite harmonize with the dishes. Still, the food alone makes Nishani a standout, and with a touch more warmth in service, it could easily reach perfection.

Best Macedonian food from Bucharest, personally I recommend: Asortiment de Unsori, Pita with yogurt. The crumbled pita bread is the best! All the waitress are so nice.
